Data deletion

If you signed up with email, Google, or Facebook, you can delete your MateLoop account and the personal data linked to it.

Delete in your account (recommended)

1. Sign in and open My profile.
2. Scroll to Delete account.
3. Type DELETE, confirm with your password (or account email if you use Google/Facebook), and submit.

This permanently removes your profile details (including email and phone), shops, listings, community posts, messages, and uploaded photos where we store them for your account. Some payment or fraud-prevention records may be kept in anonymised form where the law requires it.

Request by email

1. Email customerservice@mateloop.com.au from the email address on your account.
2. Use the subject line: Account data deletion request.
3. Include your full name and MateLoop account email (and Facebook/Google email if different).

What we delete

We delete or anonymise personal account data associated with your profile where reasonably possible, including profile details and social login links. Some records may be retained where required by law (for example fraud prevention or transaction records).

Timing

In-app deletion takes effect immediately after you confirm. Email requests are usually processed within 30 days. We may contact you to confirm your identity before deleting data.
